lalalalaaaaa...

my singing sounds as bad as that above title suggest
but that details people...
thought i'd share some of the music
that's playing on my lil mp3 player
cause i'm too cheap to buy an ipod
and i really have nothing to blog about
but i wanted to blog anyways
However...I am doing this by memory cause I forgot to bring my player with me...
So I may not get names of songs completely right
just deal...
1)Hanging on the telephone-blondie...
I actually wanted to hear the one that plays on that cell phone commercial
but couldn't figure out the artist
i also have the L7 version...but not really into it...
i like this song but lately i can only think
about the recent induction into the hall of fame
and the former members of the band were all like
"please lets up play"
and debbie harry was all like
"my BAND is playing"
can we say
AWKWARD!
2)Burning photographs-ryan adams
those who know me know i have much love for this man
this song...i adore
mainly for the lyric

I believe this is off Rock and Roll (the album)
but really...there are just too many so who knows...
3)Talk- Coldplay
I alternate between thinking that i like coldplay
and thinking they are boring
but i like this song
i think
it doesn't make me sad like "the scientist" or "fix you" or
well most of their other songs

did you know when Jennifer Connelly married the blonde guy from all those long ass Russell Crowe movies (ask me about long ass Russell Crowe movies one day) anyways "the scientist" was their wedding song...
its a prozac generation, people...
4)Sick and Tired- Canadian Cross Creek or something...its a long name and i only know this one song
but i like it...its catchy...
5)Bottle of You- Joseph Arthur
makes me want to shower
also makes me wonder if what kind of shampoo she uses
and if its the last of the bottle will he go to CVS to replace it
6)Celebrity Skin
Malibu Hole

Violet
Am going through a Courtney Love phase. Notice you cannot think of any other members of this band. Sure, you real music geeks will be like melissa whats her face, the red head guitar player and then there is that lanky blonde guy who played a guitar and dated drew barrymore which is why she is godparent of the kid courtney and kurt had.
ANyways the 1st two are from the last album they had and i really like it... more polished and pop...but Violet has the best opening... "and the stars are just like little fish"
5)Some song by Imogene Heap
I don't know which one. Not the one I really like. Or the other one. Or the frou frou one. Just some song I liked.
6)All Things must pass- George Harrison

One of three songs that MUST be played at the celebration of my life right before my body (and the cats) are cryogenically frozen and shot into space. Then you may proceed to eat the quesadillas and shrimp cocktail and margaritas...
invitation only!
7)I write the sins and not the tragedies-Panic! At the Disco
I have no ideal what this song is about...something about a lawyer, a virgina, formaldehyde and a another kind of purse...it that a drug reference?
8) No Ring on My finger- The Bravery

Hot Band alert. I really enjoy their music, especially this song...
9)My Happiness- Powderfinger
(+2 other Powderfinger songs) I only really like the Happiness song... I first heard it on pandora... it reminds me of the 90's pop-alt angst white boy bands that i adore (better than ezra, i'm looking at you) so color me disapointed with the other songs i downloaded...
10) My Number- Tegan and Sarah
My fave song from them, as of late.
11) Crazy for you- Whiskeytown
Ryan Adams at his tangiest goodness. This band just blows me away. And this song is happy, fun.
12) In My Secret Life- Leonard Cohen
His word/ singing poetry is a guilty pleasure. I feel like i should be in some dark club wearing a cocktail dress, drowning my sorrows with bourbon on the rocks, smoking cigarette after cigarette....
13) My Doorbell- The White Stripes
Oh I love these guys so much. This is such a garage band rocking song. Makes me want to bang on the drums and shake my hips...

happy listening...suggestions appreciated...often ignored
